EXPERIENCE: Nancy has spent three years as Deputy Recorder with a total of 10 years of experience as a Deputy Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Deeds. Nancy knows first hand how critical this position is to both upholding the integrity of the public records and insuring an efficient and accurate judicial process.

Nancy has extensive training in both the Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Deed’s office and has the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill the duties of both offices from the first day as the Circuit Clerk and Ex-officio Recorder of Deeds.

Nancy has spent her career preparing for this position by completing over 400 hours of judicial education training including a nine month program sponsored by the National Center for State Courts. Nancy earned “Court Manager” certification from the National Institute for Court Management.

NANCY’S FAMILY: She and Truman have been married for 28 years and reside in Boonville. They have two children, Kelly who lives in Ocean Springs, Mississippi with James and their two children, Jerzy and Kayli, and Brian who also lives in Boonville.


As Deputy Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Deeds

Nancy:

• Oversees records in civil, criminal, traffic, domestic relations,
   small claims, juvenile, probate and treatment court

• Enters child support orders into the Missouri Automated Child
   Support System

• Oversees Grand Jury and Petit Jury operations

• Is responsible for the office during the absence of the Circuit
   Clerk and Ex-officio Recorder of Deeds

• Answers procedural questions for staff and coordinates and
   supervises all training of deputy clerks

• Is the Payroll Designee: handles payroll matters for all state
   paid circuit court employees in the county

• Has thorough knowledge of court procedures and policies, legal
   documents, technology, laws and legal terminology pertaining
   to the court

• Has taught a Domestic Relations and Child Support Class at
   Court Clerk College administered by the Office of State
   Courts Administrator
